My 100

  1. My kids are awesome. I may call them brats from time to time, but they know I love them and that I buy all their stuff.
  2. My favorite book is The Stand by Stephen King.
  3. I still listen to 80’s music. I have 6,060 songs on my iPod and most of them remind me of high school.
  4. I’m addicted to The Food Network. Guy Fieri who host Diners, Drive-ins and Dives has the best job on the planet.
  5. I will argue with anyone about the superiority of Apple computers.
  6. I hate hypocrites.
  7. I was raised in Carmi, Illinois and was in the first class to graduate from Carmi-White County High School. The school was not new, the school board just changed the name after we consolidated with Crossville.
  8. My parents have been married for over 40 years. I have never seen them fight. They may have the perfect marriage. They still hold hands.
  9. My grandpa Clark was the sweetest and happiest man I have ever known. He saw the good in everyone.
  10. I have a secret desire to write the great American novel.
  11. I am horrible at Math.
  12. I can cook really well, I just choose not to.
  13. I wear a size 10 shoe. Don’t laugh.
  14. I really want to have breast reduction surgery.
  15. I can still say the books of the Bible by memory.
  16. I have rebelled against organized religion, but still consider myself very spiritual.
  17. I read perezhilton.com every day because I just can’t help myself.
  18. I believe that everyone is created equal.
  19. I cry easily.
  20. I laugh easily.
  21. I hate clowns. They scare me.
  22. I believe in world peace.
  23. I have a pink toolbox with a pink hammer, screwdriver, etc. I also have a pink cordless drill.
  24. I have said good bye to the past and have great hope for the future. It took a long time to get this way.
  25. I like to dress up, but I normally wear jeans and t-shirts.
  26. I think prostitution is a victimless crime.
  27. I have few close friends, but lots of acquaintances.
  28. I have short, stubby nails. For the past 5 years they have been covered with acrylics. My mom tried nonstop to keep me from biting them when I was a child. She failed.
  29. I hate text messaging. Even with my Blackberry I still cannot text and drive safely.
  30. I have lost 44 lbs. since January ‘09, but I don’t recommend the divorce diet to anyone.
  31. I am a cat person.
  32. I cry at every wedding I attend.
  33. I don’t miss anything about high school except the music. (See #3)
  34. I’m really having trouble coming up with 100 interesting facts about me.
  35. Sometimes I still miss my old life.
  36. Sometimes self-doubt paralyzes me.
  37. I don’t like to share.
  38. I hate four people.
  39. I have read all the Harry Potter books and I liked them.
  40. I don’t like Seinfeld. It’s embarrassing to watch.
  41. I smoke too much. I know it’s a nasty habit (no lectures please).
  42. I don’t care what people think about me.
  43. I love the movies. I love going to the movies. I love buying movies and watching them at home.
  44. I love to drive fast. I have gotten way too many tickets.
  45. When did I grow up?
  46. I want my house to be on Cribs. Not the house I live in now, but the mega mansion I will live in when I become a billionaire.
  47. I worked at the Angus Journal in St. Joseph, Missouri. I loved the job, but missed home.
  48. I hate to fly. The last time I went to Chicago I rode the train. I really don’t like it either.
  49. The next chapter of my life just started.
  50. I eat too much candy.
  51. I’m addicted to brand names. I have tried generic, I just can’t handle it.
  52. I drink at least five 20 oz. bottles of Mountain Dew every day.
  53. I have smoked a Cuban cigar and I liked it.
  54. I really, really want to stay at the Ritz Carlton in Chicago. I also want to stay at the Peabody in Memphis. I love hotels.
  55. My grandma Seitz lived to be 102-years-old.
  56. I like Aleve better than Tylenol.
  57. My shoulder has hurt every day for the last two months.
  58. I believe in a place called Hope.
  59. I’m a Democrat.
  60. I would do anything to go back in time.
  61. My Grandpa Clark was buried the day before September 11.
  62. I had braces when I was a kid and I thought my parents were punishing me.
  63. I love that my both my sons have their driver’s license.
  64. I was adopted when I was six days old. I was chosen.
  65. I know that even if I robbed a bank my parents would still love me.
  66. I’m a much better person than I was 10 years ago.
  67. I want my mom to proofread this before I post this, but I don’t want her to know about some of the things I wrote.
  68. I used to believe in the legal system, now I’m not so sure.
  69. I tried to use Movable Type for my blog, but I just couldn’t figure out.
  70. I had cat, Oliver, who I adored. He died and now I have Bruce and Bella, and they are OK.
  71. I honestly believe that everything will be OK, but sometimes I get really impatient about it.
  72. In Kindergarten Mrs. Dartt said I was talking when I shouldn’t have been and she gave my name to Santa Claus so he could put it on the bad kid list. I never went to see Santa again and still hate Christmas. Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday.
  73. I absolutely love “The Girls Next Door.” If Hugh Hefner offered me a job I would move to LA tomorrow. No, I don’t want to be in Playboy, I want to be the Art Director.
  74. My plate is full. Ask anybody.
  75. I have learned many lessons this past year, some were easy and some were extremely hard.
  76. I have never been to New York, Las Vegas, New Orleans or Miami. But I want to.
  77. When I’m sick I crave Chicken and Stars, Orange Jell-O and 7-Up. And I have to have a cold wash cloth on my forehead.
  78. My first pair of Calvin Klein jeans came from The Evansville Store. My first pair of Nike tennis shoes came from Sutton’s. Why do I remember that?
  79. I have a lot of acquaintances but only a few very close friends.
  80. I can write with my left and right hand.
  81. American Legion Post 595 and The E’Town Tap are my two favorite bars.
  82. I love fried fish, but it makes me poop.
  83. In the last 3 years I have finally gotten comfortable in my own skin.
  84. I want to go to Gyza and touch the pyramids.
  85. I have a problem finishing what I start.
  86. I have my dad’s old 1983 Chevy Pickup in my yard. It’s a three on the tree. I just love saying that.
  87. I have rediscovered some pretty extraordinary things about me lately.
  88. Somehow I have lost my ability to be patient with people in public.
  89. My favorite summer drink is Malibu with pineapple juice with a splash of Sprite.
  90. I hate going to the bank. I’m always afraid I’m broke.
  91. When I sing in the car I always tell my kids I’m going to try out for American Idol.
  92. I hate Dancing With the Stars.
  93. I used to watch The Dukes of Hazard every Friday night with my Grandpa. The next morning my Grandma would fix me a pound of bacon and two pieces of toast.
  94. My brother was a Marine for four years. It changed him.
  95. Right now I’m having trouble keeping negative thoughts out of my brain.
  96. I have two tattoos, a flower on my right foot and the Jeep logo on my left shoulder. Chas has a matching Jeep tattoo on his shoulder. We got them one month after we started dating.
  97. I love the Beatles, but I can’t listen to them all the time.
  98. I hate injustice and I always root for the little guy.
  99. I have finally realized that there are just some things I can’t change.
  100. Jaclyn, Amanda and Treva literally saved my life this past year, I couldn’t have made it without them.
