This is my world as I see it—you might see it my way, you might not.
Julie – that’s me.
I am 29 32 39-year-old mother of two teenage sons. I am relatively new to the blogging world, but old to the internet. I have been a graphic artist for 15 years. I have mainly worked in the magazine world, but I have spent a few years in newspaper. Currently I am freelancing and taking a lot of photos.
I don’t consider myself a “Mommy Blogger” even though I am a mother. I started blogging because I had gotten tired of writing in my journal. I don’t know what took me so long to make the jump.
I have very strong political views. I have never backed down from a debate and I’m not too big to admit when I am wrong. I love conversation. I will always listen to someone’s views, just give me the chance to question them if I don’t agree. I’ll let you know if you change my mind—it has happened before.
I’m very spiritual but not religious. I know too much about religion to have unwavering faith. I don’t think that one religion is the only religion. I believe that God has enough love for everyone.
The Team:
Brandon – oldest son.
17-year-old son—do I really need to say more? He’s your typical teenager with my charm and good looks. He’s the most natural athlete I have ever seen. He absolutely hates where we live but somehow all his friends seem to end up here. Brandon is somewhat of a loner. He asks me everyday if I am making any money with my blog. My response: “Brandon, it’s not about that.” He doesn’t get it. Brandon plays baseball for the Gallatin County Hawks and he’s awesome.
Luc – youngest son.
16-year-old son with the biggest blue eyes on the planet. He sometimes wears his heart on his sleeve, but would never admit it. He tries to be tough, but I can see right through him. He is also a good athlete but has chosen a different path. He likes to tinker in the garage and he loves the great outdoors. One day he will build the baddest muscle car known to man. In the summer he loves nothing more than mowing the lawn on his John Deere LT155. Contact me, he would love to mow your lawn too.
“I'd like to have money. And I'd like to be a good writer. These two can come together, and I hope they will, but if that's too adorable, I'd rather have money.” -Dorothy Parker
"The good writing of any age has always been the product of someone's neurosis, and we'd have mighty dull literature if all the writers that came along were a bunch of happy chuckleheads."-William Styron
“I have been driven many times to my knees by the overwhelming conviction that I had absolutely no other place to go.” -Abraham Lincoln
This is my attempt to share my world with you. Sometimes it's exciting—sometimes it's dull. I'll take you with me through my journey of life. Remember, this is my blog and I write whatever I am feeling at any given time. These are my opinions and nobody elses. Please leave me your comments, both good and bad. You can contact me at julie [at] gribco [dot] com anytime with ideas, comments or just to chat.
